How to use the HP Digital Sender
How to scan and send a document
- Press E-MAIL(F1).
- Type your E-Mail address in the "From:" field and press enter.
Note: If you do not type an E-Mail address in the "From:" field the message will not be sent.
- Type a subject into the "Subject:" field and press enter.
Note: The subject shortened to 8 characters will be the name of the attachment.
- Choose one:
- Type the E-Mail address of the recipient in the "To:" field.
- Press SEARCH(F2) to search the LDAP directory.
- Fill in the desired fields(enter to move between them) and press OK(F1).
- Press Enter to add the address to the "To:" box.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add more recipients.
- If you want to change either the type(b/w document, color document, color-b/w photo) or size(only if you're using the tray)
- Press SETTINGS(F1)
- Move around the menus with the arrow keys
- After you have selected the paper size or type you wish to use, press OK(F1)
- Press the Green Button to start sending.
- If you want to use the tray, then press NO(F4) and follow the on screen instructions.
- If you want to use the glass, place your document on the glass and press YES(F1). Follow the on screen instructions.
- Press OK(F1) after it says Job Done.
- Press BACK(F4) to go back to the main screen.
Troubleshooting
- Most problems can be solved by turning the Digital Sender off, then back on again. The switch is located in the lower corner on the right side in back.
- If the problem persists, send an email to manager with a description of the problem.
